Three intense days of pure blues. Bilbao has responded in the best possible way to this first edition of the festival, exceeding all expectations.
More than 65,000 people attended the vibrant concerts on the Arenal esplanade and thousands of fans came every day to enjoy the hypnotic performances at the Kiosko.
The great blues festival also reached the streets of the city with the dixie band “Granujas a todo ritmo” and the boogie-woogie classes, spreading their rhythm and joy, making the citizens and tourists who were spending a few days in the town dance. The Guggenheim Museum, the venue for part of the festival’s activities as part of the TopARTE programme and the 25th anniversary of the art gallery, was sold out for both the talk and the educational concert, initiatives that aroused great interest and were warmly applauded by the participants.
THANK YOU. To all the artists, to the public, to all those people, companies and institutions that have supported the project. We also want to thank the work of all those who have made possible that this first edition has been a resounding success: technical team, security, coordination, communication … without you Bilbao Blues Festival would not have been possible. It has been an outstanding edition.
See you in 2023!
