TKOB is made up of five artists with long and successful careers behind them who have decided to unite their talent and musical passion in a high voltage project that draws from blues, funk and groove to ensure spectacular live performances.
On drums is Tony Coleman (1955, Kissimmee, Florida) who has shared the stage with legends such as B.B. King, Otis Clay, Bobby Blue Bland, Johnnie Taylor, Albert King, Albert Collins, Etta James, James Cotton, Katie Webster and Buddy Guy. He is accompanied on bass by Russell B. Jackson (1954, Memphis, Tennessee), a member of B.B. King’s band for 7 years.
The guitar part goes to Vasti Jackson (1959, McComb, Mississippi), who starred in a spectacular performance at the Bilbao Blues Festival 2023 with The Mississippi Trinity. Completing the ‘superband’ are Grammy-winning pianist Kenny ‘Blue Boss’ Wayne (1944, Spokane, Washington) and the great saxophonist Waldo Weathers (1950, Louisville, Kentucky), a regular for 20 years in the band of the ‘godfather of soul’, James Brown.
