Succeeding with his personal Latin blues
From Córdoba (Argentina) to Chicago. That is the blues journey that young guitarist and singer Ivan Singh has taken to become one of the most renowned musicians of his generation. His great talent has led him to conquer the capital of blues (Chicago, Illinois), accompanied by Adela, a four-string slide guitar known as a ‘sweet potato can’.
Despite his youth, he has already shared the stage with musicians of the stature of Buddy Guy and Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram and has performed in various countries in America, Asia and Europe. Rolling Stone magazine has described him as ‘the artist who keeps the blues alive with a fresh and personal style’.
Winner of the Revelation Award at the Mississippi Delta Blues Festival (2017) and nominated for Best Chicago Blues Band in 2023 and 2024 by The Chicago Reader, the charismatic musician from Cordoba triumphs with his personal take on Latin Blues, in which he fuses styles such as rock, blues and tango. His band’s spectacular live performances (a sextet with horns) are full of surprises and showmanship, captivating the audience from start to finish.
