A taste of the 40s and 50s with high voltage

The sextet Martín Burguez & His Rhythm Combo, led by the Uruguayan singer and guitarist Martín Burguez, is characterised by its electrifying show in which it revives Rhythm & Blues classics and original songs with an attractive heritage of the music of the 40s and 50s.

The Barcelona band’s influences range from R&B artists such as Big Joe Turner, Nappy Brown, Chuck Willis or Tiny Bradshaw, to great Jump Blues references such as BB King, T-Bone Walker, Pee Wee Crayton or Johnny ‘Guitar’ Watson. The band immerses the audience in a show that refers to the aesthetics of the 40s and to which they add a fresh and personal approach with songs and arrangements of their own authorship. 

Burguez is accompanied by some of the most outstanding musicians on the Barcelona blues scene, such as Pere Miró on baritone sax, Arnaud Desprez on tenor sax, Oriol Fontanals on double bass, Arnau Julià on drums and Alberto Burguez on piano. Tradition and youth on stage to guarantee a show of pure adrenaline.
