The third edition of the Bilbao Blues Festival will mark a milestone in the history of the event and of the city itself. On its first day, July 25th, it will host the final of the national Blues Challenge. The four best bands on the current scene will compete for a place in the European Blues Challenge, one of the most important international events of this musical genre. ‘We are very happy with the celebration of this state Challenge. On the one hand, because it is the first time that a final with live bands has been organised. On the other hand, and most importantly, because we have taken another step towards our goal of making Bilbao a reference point for Blues”, celebrates Carlos Malles, the festival’s director.
