The quartet led by the Sevillian guitarist Carlos Moreno, better known as ‘Kid Carlos’, has its roots in the blues, but draws on the musical influences of the other members of the band, such as jazz, rock and funk. His repertoire combines his own songs and blues classics with a personal and eclectic style, to which he gives brilliance with a high dose of chemistry and rapport on stage. Kid Carlos’ is accompanied by Txako Jones (vocals), Raúl Cordón (bass) and Stefano Di Rubbo (drums).
The talented guitarist ‘Kid Carlos’ has performed with such great bluesmen as Otis Grand, Jon McDonald, Kirk Fletcher, Carvin Jones, Monster Mike Welch, Sugar Ray Norcia and Philip Catherine. In 2007 he founded the Kid Carlos Blues Band, predecessor of the Kid Carlos Band, with which he released his first album ‘Talkin’ ‘Bout the Blues’. In 2017 he joined ‘The Mighty Combo’, English band of the prestigious producer Mike Vernon, with whom he toured the most important European stages. In 2020, he released his solo album ‘Fango’.
Kid Carlos Band presented in 2018 ‘Cannonball’, a tribute album to guitarist Freddie King. They are currently working on a new album, which will be released this year. Kid Carlos Band are regulars in the most important national blues festivals and have been the Spanish representatives in the prestigious European Blues Challenge 2024.
