Vaughan has four Grammy Awards and eight nominations throughout his successful career.<\/p>\n The Texan musician fell in love with the blues in the early 1960s listening to black radio stations in Dallas. By 1969 he was performing on the Austin stage with the band The Storm and at the same time consolidating his prestige as a guitarist.<\/p>\n In the mid-70s, he formed The Fabulous Thunderbirds with Wilson, a band that modernised and refreshed the blues of the time and with which he recorded seven albums until 1990, when he started the \u2018Family Style\u2019 project together with the revered Stevie Ray, who passed away shortly afterwards.<\/p>\n Jimmie resumed his solo career three years later. To date, he has released five albums: \u2018Strange Pleasure\u2019 (1994), \u2018Out there\u2019 (1998), \u2018Do you Get the Blues?\u2019 (2001), \u2018Plays Blues, Ballads & Favourites\u2019 (2010) and \u2018Baby please come home\u2019 (2019). The latter earned him a Grammy nomination and a Blues Foundation award for Best Male Artist.
