From a very young age, Shemekia was already a force to be reckoned with in the blues. She soon began to carve out a niche for herself and even topped the bill at major festivals such as the Chicago Blues Festival and the B. B. King Blues Festival. <strong>She has also shared the stage with legends such as Buddy Guy, BB King, Mick Jagger and Eric Clapton<\/strong>, and has even performed at the White House for President Obama and his wife, Michelle.
